Being the DC comic nerd that I am, I’ve been enthralled with the superhero shows on the CW. In the Arrowverse there is a character known as Captain Cold/Leonard Snart and he teaches us the 4 rules to remember when planning:
1. Make the plan
2. Execute the plan
3. Expect the plan to go off the rails
4. Throw away the plan
I don’t consider myself to be too much of a planner as I tend to think in bigger pictures. I love the freedom of being able to improvise and throw things together at the drop of the hat. Consequently, when it comes to making decisions, I sometimes struggle to pull the trigger. My friends can attest to this fact as I often solicit their advice.
Even last night, I couldn’t decide between reading a book, writing a blog, or going to bed for the night. Luckily I have collaborators to remind me there’s always an option D and it’s ok to throw away the plan.
